Terms of Service

Effective April 5, 2026. These terms describe the basic rules for using PlayVid as a browser-based tool for testing public video URLs, streams, and embed links.

Permitted Use

PlayVid is intended for testing publicly reachable media URLs and embed behavior in a normal browser environment.

  • Only test sources you are allowed to access. You are responsible for the URLs you paste into the tool and for making sure you have the right to inspect or use those media resources.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful or abusive activity. That includes copyright infringement, privacy violations, harassment, platform abuse, or any attempt to misuse third-party infrastructure through the site.
  • Do not treat PlayVid as a bypass tool. The service is not provided to defeat DRM, paywalls, access controls, geographic restrictions, authentication layers, or platform embedding rules.

Service Scope

PlayVid is a testing utility, not a hosting platform. The site does not promise long-term storage, media management, guaranteed availability, or account-based workflows.
Features may change over time. Pages, behavior, supported URL patterns, and third-party integrations may be updated, limited, or removed without prior notice.
Third-party media remains under third-party control. If a platform changes its embed rules, auth requirements, or delivery behavior, PlayVid may stop working for that source without any fault in the local UI.

Your Responsibility

You remain responsible for the media sources, permissions, and downstream use of any test results you obtain through the site.

  • Validate rights and permissions yourself. PlayVid does not verify ownership, licensing, or distribution rights for the links you test.
  • Do not rely on the tool as legal or compliance advice. A successful playback result does not mean a source is licensed, compliant, safe, or suitable for production use everywhere.
  • Use the tool at your own risk. The site is provided on an as-available basis, without a guarantee that every source or browser combination will work.
